Cork Airport — May 8, 2024 — “Due South” - a new visitor magazine, aimed at inbound and domestic tourists has been launched at Cork Airport. Published by Mara Media, the free magazine is available to pick up at Cork Airport and at selected local hotels and tourist information offices around Cork city ahead of the summer season.
The extensive, 62-page publication showcases the best of what Cork and Munster has to offer inbound visitors arriving into Cork Airport from the UK, Continental Europe and further afield. From stunning seaside towns and villages to the delectable and diverse local food offering, the magazine highlights Cork, and the South of Ireland as historical, cultural, scenic, and a gastronomic paradise. Cork Airport is the southern gateway to the Wild Atlantic Way and Ireland’s Ancient East and the magazine is jam-packed with recommendations of things to see and do, attractions to visit, and places to stay. Expertly written with contributions from travel writer, Nicola Brady and Noreen Boyle of Mara Media, the magazine also contains special features, including interviews with renowned Irish singer, Lyra, and internationally acclaimed athlete, Sonia O’Sullivan.
Hugh Bonner, Managing Director at Mara Media said: "We were delighted to work alongside Barry Holland and the team at Cork Airport to develop our first official publication together. "Due South" showcases the top tourist attractions, businesses, and initiatives taking place in Cork and the surrounding counties, acting as the perfect guide for both international and domestic tourists looking to explore the region further. We have received fantastic feedback since launching the annual magazine earlier this year, with readers praising the variety of the content and the high-quality finish. Having produced airport magazines for Ireland West Airport Knock and Donegal Airport for over a decade, we look forward to continuing our partnership with Cork Airport long into the future."
Barry Holland, Communications Manager at Cork Airport said: “Inbound tourism is a key part of our business and ahead of the busy summer, visitors arriving at Cork Airport will have the opportunity to pick up a copy of “Due South”.
