Management and staff across Cork Airport will hit the catwalk this Thursday evening, October 12, for the airport’s annual fashion show in aid of its Charity of The Year. This year all proceeds will go to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust who assist families who have lost loved ones abroad to bring them home.
Organised by members of Cork Airport’s charity of the year committee and sponsored by The Loop, the airport’s retail and duty free shop, the fashion extravaganza takes places on Thursday next at 8.00pm in the airport’s terminal on the check-in concourse. The event will be hosted again this year by well-known stylist Pat Walker.
Speaking about the fundraiser Kevin Cullinane, Head of Communications at Cork Airport, said: “We’re all really looking forward to this year’s fashion show, which is a fantastic and fun event to support the outstanding work of The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust. In addition to the fashion show there will be an area where attendees can receive a makeup makeover courtesy of our experts in The Loop. We must also express our thanks to the many Cork fashion houses and retail outlets who have supplied clothes for the show."
“We hope many of our passengers across Cork will turn out next Thursday night to support this extremely worthy effort and support our colleagues from across so many of the companies represented at Cork Airport as they swap the runway for the catwalk on the night to model for charity, he added.
Tickets for the event can be purchased for €20 at the Information Desk at Cork Airport, with all proceeds going to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust aims to alleviate the financial hardship of bereaved families repatriating bodies) of loved ones who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances back to Ireland.
