Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Stobart Air, has reached its two million passengers through Cork Airport milestone, since start of the franchise flying partnership with Aer Lingus in March 2010.
Aer Lingus Regional flies to nine destinations from Cork Airport with two seasonal summer routes to Rennes in France and Cornwall Airport Newquay added for 2017. Fares are available from €34.99 one way including taxes and charges.
The airline recently launched its Cork to Cornwall Airport Newquay route and also currently flies from Cork to Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Southampton, Manchester, Newcastle, Southampton, Newquay and Rennes in France.
Aer Lingus Regional operate over 6,000 flights per year from Cork Airport with three aircraft based at the airport offering passengers multiple daily flights to major UK cities such as Manchester and Birmingham. Manchester is the largest Aer Lingus Regional route operating out of Cork Airport with up to three flights per day.
Aer Lingus Regional expects to carry over 330,000 passengers on its Cork network in 2017, up 20 percent on its 2015 passenger figures. The network opens up the south west of Ireland to more destinations, providing passengers with more choice and regional connectivity to major UK cities from Cork.
As well as boosting outbound business and leisure, the network is a significant boost to the local economy opening up Cork and the Wild Atlantic Way to UK travellers.
The airline sold over 42,000 cups of tea and coffee on its Cork network in 2016 along with over 14,000 chocolate bars and 7,500 packets of Tayto’s and other snacks.

Aer Lingus Regional currently flies up to 620 flights per week across its 26 routes throughout Ireland, the UK and France. In 2016 it flew over 1.45 million passengers.
