Cork Airport has been nominated in three categories in the Moodie Davitt Social and Digital Media Awards.
Cork Airport is delighted to be shortlisted for three awards in the Moodie Davitt Social and Digital Media Awards. Cork Airport has been nominated for ‘Best Twitter Feed’, ‘Best Use of Social and Digital Media’ and ‘Best Website’, in the Airport categories.
The Moodie Davitt Awards, now in their fourth year, recognise best practice in social and digital media among airports and their commercial operators. Cork Airport’s nominations are among a cohort of some of the world’s largest and busiest international airports.
Managing Director of Cork Airport, Niall MacCarthy said: “Our entire airport community is delighted with the news of these nominations. Our digital and social media efforts are fully inclusive in order to produce genuine and authentic content that conveys Cork Airport’s pride in being the gateway to the South of Ireland for local, national and international passengers.
“Since taking our social media to the next level, by embarking on engaging conversations on the likes of Twitter and Instagram with our passengers, we have received superb traction and feedback”, he added.
The categories that Cork Airport is nominated in also acknowledge the airport’s accessible and informative website. The airport’s website not only provides real-time flight information and advice, it also gives potential and curious travellers a plethora of destination tasters and tips.
Cork Airport’s Head of Communications, Kevin Cullinane said: “These nominations reflect the ongoing engagement and attention we pay to the needs of our passengers. Our social media and online strategy is very much a two-way journey between us and our passengers.”
Cork Airport is nominated alongside Dubai Airport, Chicago O’Hare Airport and Sydney Airport. Winners will be announced later this month. The nominees will be judged under a number of criteria including Customer Impact, Quality of Content and Customer Engagement.
