About Dubrovnik

Inside the walls of this medieval city, the pedestrianised Old Town is buzzing with life. From historic churches and designer shops, cosy restaurants and modern galleries, to the ancient city wall itself which has withstood centuries of turmoil, the old Croatian city of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most beautiful and unique cities on the Mediterranean coast.   

 

Things to do here

Srd Hill Outdoor Fun

Take an cable car to Srd Hill for breath-taking views of the Old Town and the Adriatic Sea. Go in the evening and you might be lucky enough to see the sun setting over the Elafiti Islands. The journey takes just three minutes. If you’re feeling energetic a 45-minute walk will get you there and there’s a snack bar serving well-deserved refreshments at the top. On a clear day you can see up to 60km.

City Walls Outdoor Fun

A stroll around the medieval city walls is best when the heat of the sun subsides. Enter via the Ploce Gate to tackle the steepest climbs first and to finish with the best views. Stop at the Buza Bar to watch the sun sink into the sea behind the city walls. 

Discover the countryside Tour

Take a leisurely cycle through the Dalmatian countryside on a guided bicycle tour. Take in the views of the Adriatic Sea, pedal past olive groves, vineyards, villages and waterfalls. Learn about the history of the region and relax afterwards at a local winery where you’ll sample fine wines and locally produced cheeses and meats.

Franciscan Monastery & Museum Museum

Located at the Placa, the main street of Dubrovnik, the Romanesque cloister of the Monastery with the oldest working pharmacy in Europe (try their rose cream) and the most valuable library in Croatia is a must-see.
