Cork Airport Employee Receives Nomination In The Retail Manager Of The Year Awards

 A Cork Airport employee has been nominated in this year’s REI Retail Manager of the Year awards. Lilibeth Horne, Head of Retail for Cork Airport is nominated in the prestigious awards which recognise outstanding achievements in retail innovation, growth, customer care and originality.

Lilibeth Horne is shortlisted in the Manager of the Year category having been selected as one of the top five nominees from a considerable number of entrants. The nomination is the second accolade for Lilibeth Horne this year, who was highly commended in the Enterprising Women of the Year Awards, held in April.

Speaking about Lilibeth Horne’s nomination, Cork Airport Director Niall MacCarthy said, “We are absolutely delighted that Lilibeth has been nominated in the Manager of the Year category at this year’s Retail Manager of the Year Awards. The nomination is truly an outstanding achievement. Cork Airport offers the highest levels of customer service to 2.4 million passengers across 50 routes every year and Lilibeth plays an integral part in delivering this quality of service. This nomination is a testimony to the hard work and diligence, not only of Lilibeth herself, but of all the retail team at Cork Airport.”

Commenting on her nomination, Lilibeth Horne, Head of Retail, Cork Airport, said “I am absolutely thrilled to be nominated in these very prestigious awards. The nomination is a fantastic recognition of fourteen years of retail service I have given to Cork Airport. Any manager can only be successful if they have a committed team and I am lucky to lead a motivated team of retail staff who treat each of our customers as their number one priority.”

Lilibeth Horne has spent her entire career with Cork Airport, working initially in marketing for the airport and subsequently moving into a retail management role.
