Over 40,000 passengers are set to go through the gates at Cork Airport this August Bank Holiday as staff prepare for one of the busiest weekends of the summer season.
Holiday-makers will be jetting off to over 50 destinations from Cork Airport. The most popular destinations include the three London airports, Amsterdam, Malaga and Faro.
Niall McCarthy, Airport Director is advising passengers to arrive 90 minutes before their scheduled flights, ensure they have checked-in online where possible and not to forget their passports.
He said: “The August weekend is always a busy time of year as tens of thousands head off to the sun from Cork for a well-earned break. We’d ask all passengers to arrive prepared and in plenty of time to ensure their holiday gets off to a great start.”
And to help take the stress out of their trips, holiday-makers can park their cars within a few minutes’ walk from the terminal building. A courtesy bus also operates from all long-term car parks to the door of the terminal.
