Aer Lingus Regional Adds Extra Flight For Cheltenham Bound Cork Passengers

 Additional Bristol flight from Cork to meet demand of Cheltenham Festival
 Adjusted schedule to facilitate day return to annual racing festival
 Airline flew quarter of a million passengers between Bristol, Birmingham and Ireland in 2012

Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Aer Arann, has announced it will add an extra flight to Bristol from Cork Airport on 16 March, 2013.

The extra flight has been added to meet the demand for passengers flying to the Cheltenham racing festival.

The airline has also adjusted scheduled flights to Birmingham to allow a day return for festival goers.

The annual racing festival is a favourite of Irish race goers, with over 700,000 people visiting the racecourse yearly.

The airline has added an additional flight to its schedule which operates one daily return flight to Bristol and  twice daily return flights to Birmingham from Cork Airport and adjusted schedule times to allow for a day return for Cork based race goes.

Aer Lingus Regional, operated by Aer Arann, has flown a quarter of a million passengers between Bristol and Birmingham and Ireland in 2012.

Commenting, Simon Fagan, Chief Commercial Officer, Aer Arann said:

‘We are responding to increased demand by adding an extra flight and adjusting schedules on the Bristol and Birmingham to Cork Airport routes. This move will ensure choice for our customers flying to the Cheltenham racing festival.

‘Bristol and Birmingham are extremely popular routes on our network for both business and leisure passengers. We continue to see steady growth in traffic on these routes, with over 380,000 passengers benefiting from an easy, efficient and accessible connection between Cork and UK.
